    Build the future of risk

Trigger Parametric builds parametric cover for complex, real world risks, where traditional insurance breaks down and analytical thinking matters.

We work at the intersection of quantitative research, risk modelling, data science and insurance structuring.

Work on the hardest problems in insurance

Parametric insurance is one of the fastest growing areas of the industry, precisely because it demands a different way of thinking: explicit models rather than subjective judgement, transparent triggers rather than opaque claims processes, and data driven structures rather than legacy heuristics.

Our work is analytical, evidence driven and intellectually honest. This is not insurance as paperwork. This is insurance as applied mathematics and decision science.

    What you will work on

    • Quantitative models that directly drive financial outcomes
    • Real insurance programmes with real capital at risk
    • Problems that do not have clean textbook answers
    • Structures that must work under stress, not just in theory

    Who thrives here

    • People who enjoy modelling messy, imperfect real world systems
    • Those comfortable moving between theory and implementation
    • People who care about assumptions, edge cases and failure modes
    • Small teams, high standards, real responsibility

Many of the best people we work with did not originally plan to work in insurance. They came because this part of insurance is genuinely interesting. To see how we structure risk, read how parametric insurance works and how parametric models are built.

    Open roles

Three roles, close to the core economics of the business.

    Quantitative Researcher

UK / Europe / Remote, selectively

This role sits at the heart of what we do. You will work on the design, testing and refinement of parametric models, translating complex phenomena into robust, contractible triggers.

    • Parametric trigger design and validation
    • Statistical analysis of risk events and datasets
    • Model robustness, edge cases and failure analysis
    • Close collaboration with underwriting and structuring teams

A good fit if you have strong quantitative foundations, prefer applied research over purely academic work, and care about models surviving contact with reality. Related reading: how trigger calibration works.

    Finance and Operations Manager

    UK / Hybrid

A broad, hands-on role spanning finance and day-to-day operations, close to the core of how Trigger Parametric runs. It suits someone who wants variety and ownership across functions rather than a single narrow remit, and who is comfortable moving between analytical work and getting things done.

As a specialist parametric risk partner scaling across multiple markets, we need someone who can build and maintain the financial and operational foundations that support our growth. Working closely with the leadership team, you will take ownership of key processes and help shape how the business operates as it scales.

    • Finance: Own invoicing, bookkeeping, payroll, management reporting, forecasting and cashflow. Coordinate with external accountants on statutory accounts, VAT and other taxation matters, and help ensure financial information is accurate, timely and useful for decision-making.
    • Operations: Manage day-to-day business processes, including insurance reporting, supplier relationships, systems and operational support for business development. Identify opportunities to improve processes and introduce structure as the business grows.
    • People and office: Support HR administration, recruitment, onboarding and office management, helping create an organised and effective working environment for the team.

You will be a good fit if you are organised, adaptable and comfortable owning both the numbers and the operational detail. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, enjoys solving problems and wants to help build the foundations of a fast-growing company. You will have the opportunity to influence how things are done, not just keep them ticking over.

    Business Development Manager

    UK / Hybrid

A commercial, relationship-driven role focused on growing Trigger Parametric's business through brokers and direct corporate relationships. It suits someone who understands risk transfer, enjoys developing opportunities from first conversation to closed deal, and wants to help shape how a fast-growing parametric business goes to market.

Parametric insurance is creating new opportunities to address risks that traditional insurance does not always cover effectively. This role is about identifying those opportunities, understanding the client's commercial challenges and working closely with our underwriting team to turn innovative solutions into live business.

    • Origination: Identify and develop new business opportunities with brokers and corporate clients across our target segments, from catastrophe and weather to commodity, renewable energy and other emerging risks.
    • Relationships: Build and manage strong relationships with brokers, corporate clients and distribution partners across the UK, US, Europe, Asia and beyond, developing both new opportunities and long-term accounts.
    • Deal execution: Own the commercial process from initial engagement through to bound transaction, working alongside underwriting and structuring to develop proposals, negotiate terms and convert opportunities into revenue.
    • Market presence: Represent Trigger at conferences, client meetings and industry events, develop new distribution channels and feed market intelligence back into product development and commercial strategy.

You will be a good fit if you are commercially sharp, credible with sophisticated insurance and corporate audiences, and motivated by building something rather than managing an existing book. You will have real ownership of pipeline and the freedom to shape how Trigger wins business as it scales.
